2nd Annual Camper Classic Tournament

The Annual Camper Classic is a fundraiser tennis tournament for MTPA.  Every year, we bring awareness of a local organization or need, and raise funds toward that cause.

This year we are joining the fight against ALS, a disease that currently doesn't have a cure, nor an effective treatment to slow down or reverse the progression of the disease.  We have also learned that our dear friend and Nassau Tennis Club teaching pro Gino Carosella has been diagnosed with ALS.

Gino's love of tennis and the dedication to his craft, his students and friends has been a mainstay at Nassau Tennis Club and to the surrounding community for many years.  He has helped many of us improve our tennis game, and to play with a passion and appreciation of the sport that surpasses merely winning.  He has helped us organize our USTA teams, and even supported us by going to USTA matches to cheer us on.  Beyond all that he does on and off the court, he is our friend.  Even now, he continues to work tirelessly at the club.  And we want to acknowledge his efforts by supporting and encouraging him. 

Earlier this year, several ALS Awareness campaigns were run throughout Nassau to bring awareness of this disease to the community.  Now we want to help Gino in a more direct way - so funds raised for this tournament will go directly to Gino and his family to use in the many needs that will arise.  

Aside from participating as a player in the tournament, there are also other ways you can contribute: 

- Join us as a supporter, where you can enjoy watching some great tennis courtside while socializing with players and guests.  And enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill and beverages from the MTPA Bar! 

- Between September - December 2019 including this tournament, MTPA members and their guests who buy Gino's Choice of beverages at the MTPA Bar will have part of the their purchase go toward Gino's Fund.

Registration

$50 for 1 division; includes

- Entry for 1 player for 1 division

*Add your partner's name during registration in the notes field.

$75 for 2 divisions; includes

- Entry for 1 player for 2 divisions
